  • A newly-floated NGO has decided to adopt Chilkoor village, housing the famous Balaji Temple, for its over all development.

    The NGO, Mother India Earth Campaign, chose Chilkoor as it recently shot to fame as a pilgrim centre and is drawing huge crowds from different parts of the State. The NGO, apart from Chilkoor, aims at adopting one village from each district of the State.

    MIEC founder President B V Rama Rao told newspersons on Wednesday that they would like to lay black-topped roads, provide drinking water facility, construct choultries, auditorium and public toilets in the village to serve the locals and visitors.
